This year marks a very special milestone for Helensburgh Winter Festival. On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 2026, we’ll be celebrating our 15th anniversary, bringing our community together for another wonderful weekend of festive entertainment in Colquhoun Square.
For 15 years, the Festival has been a much-loved part of Helensburgh’s calendar, welcoming thousands of visitors, supporting local businesses and creating special memories for families across our community.

But this year, we need your help more than ever…

Our Biggest Funding Challenge Yet

Despite our best efforts, we have received NO funding from Argyll and Bute Council for this year’s Festival. This has left us facing an exceptionally challenging financial situation, with a budget that’s tighter than ever.

As a charity-run community event, Helensburgh Winter Festival relies on grants, sponsorship, donations and the generosity of local businesses and supporters to make the weekend possible.
From staging and entertainment to essential infrastructure, safety and event facilities, organising a festival of this scale comes with considerable costs.

We’re incredibly grateful to Helensburgh HEART for their generous funding support this year, which has helped us take an important step towards our fundraising target.
However, with costs rising year on year, we still have a significant funding gap to fill, otherwise some features of the festival may be cut.

But while our budget may be tighter, our ambition certainly isn’t!
We want our 15th anniversary Festival to be a celebration that Helensburgh can be truly proud of.
