Your Host - James Smart

ONE of the stars of the recent series of Pitch Battle, ScotSoul member James Smart, will be on stage at Helensburgh Winter Festival, as indeed he was last year, as host and provider of the professional entertainment programme. Best Acts is based in Glasgow and was founded by James who has 20 years experience in the entertainment business. Best known for his Freddie Mercury tribute, ‘Hypnosong’ hypnotist show and for TV appearances over the years including Viva Variety, BBC Newsnight and his recent success (July 2017) with ScotSoul on BBC1’s Saturday night entertainment show ‘Pitch Battle’, James’ wealth of experience means he knows exactly what clients expect from their entertainers.

Annemarie Dodds is now at the helm of the company, and along with James has worked tirelessly over the past few years to ensure Best Acts remains a leading name in the business. This is Best Acts’ second year running the live stage at the Helensburgh Winter Festival, and they are looking forward to entertaining the masses and showcasing some of their fantastic acts once again, including Abba tribute act, fABBAlous Duo, James McCracken will be bringing Michael Bublè to life and Ritchie Hagan as Rod Stewart, and many more! James will once again be hosting the event throughout both days and looks forward to performing the songs from his new EP, ‘Scotland Forever’ including a brand new 2017 version of Loch Lomond.

The Helensburgh Rock Choir, the towns favourite contemporary choir, will be performing over the weekend, singing a selection of pop, rock and chart music.
